It’s an old Smith family tradition to spend some time around the holidays concocting the confection that sustains and delights through the cold months. Preparing, measuring, watching things boil, and stirring (very little) provide some needed time to slow down and contemplate the year’s accomplishments – and failures too. And, after its cooled and cracked, sharing this sugary gold with our family and friends – that’s the best part.

The SmittyBrittle Easy Crunch Secret Recipe™ has been guarded and passed down for four generations.  Don’t ask for the secret. Grandma Mary wouldn’t even share the recipe with us until we had grown old enough to marry. (Grandma Mary – and her Grandpa before her – were serious about this stuff.)
